At the end of the day, kindness in our words, actions, and thoughts, is a powerful gift.
I'm the type of person who is usually kind... until I'm not... Until I'm triggered, and it's like a switch gets flipped. I can be argumentative and pushy, and downright rude.
But you know what? Its kindof amazing. I had that switch flip a couple weeks back, and I was unreasonable and rude to a complete stranger. About 10 mins later I came to my senses, and I apologized, and tried to make nice.
You know what? She gave me grace. She accepted my apology. The people who witnessed my outburst also gave me grace and accepted my apology.
Their kindness in that moment helped me forgive myself, and come back to center.
None of us is perfect. We all have our days. But it really is a gift to be kind, whenever we can manage it.
